Mother Blessing Ceremony is an ancient women’s ceremony. There are many simliar cultural traditions that celebrate a woman’s transition into motherhood.

 One such example is the Blessingway [Hózhójí] is used to bless the “one sung over,” to ensure good luck, good health and blessings for all that pertains to them. It is sometimes referred to by English speaking Diné as being “for good hope.” Blessingway [Hózhójí] ceremonies are performed for expectant mothers shortly before birth is due.
